Hello!
Like most young people in this digital age, taking and editing photographs seems to come naturally. Whether it be practice from Instagram, Pinterest, or Tumblr, or whichever platform people prefer. For. me, I love bright, happy looking photography that makes the viewer feel positive when they view it. Though changing the adjustment filters to a right leaning upwards slope and doing a few brightness and colorized tweaks, I was able to create a filter which I believe embodies my preferred aesthetic.

Initially, I used a candid photograph of myself to create my filter. Portraits are my favored medium and one which I have the most experience with, so naturally it was my my first choice of what to edit for this project, and what would be the best for an initial instagram-ish filter.

Next, I applied my personalized filter to my dinner from the other night. The heightened green in the filter adds focus to the cilantro topping the tacos. And (before you all ask) yes, these tacos were as good as they look and you can find them at La Taqueria downtown!
Lastly, I applied the filter to the greenery surrounding the outside of the Cottrell Starbucks as I currently curate this blog post. On this already sunny Thursday afternoon, the filter brightens the photo even more, creating what I feel is a beauty vibe to the photograph.
